Introduction/ Goals

Hello Everyone! My name is Safiya 'Saffie' Jardine. I am an international student from the British-Caribbean Island of Antigua. I am currently a Senior and will be graduating in May 2012, with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and double minor in Sports Management and Sociology. As a former fitness competitor and Black-belt Assistant Instructor, my love for sports has grown tremendously. I have always had a keen interest in fulfilling a career path in the athletic industry; I'm sure this comes as no surprise considering my choice of major. This semester, I will be interning at the Cambridge Rindge & Latin High School. More specifically, I will be working closely with the school's Athletic Director and coaches in the Athletic Department as an Assistant Athletic Intern.

By working along closely with the Athletic Staff, I hope to achieve the following personal and professional goals:

-Sharpen my communication skills.
-Apply my organization skills to complete tasks on time.
-Apply my academic and practical experiences on the internship site.
-Improve self-confidence.

There is no doubt in mind that anything is possible. My goals, I believe, will create a doorway to enhance my strengths and eliminate all weaknesses. I want to build a professional network of people who can offer me advice and support. My personal mission statement is:

“I am a bright, young, enthusiastic individual who is eager to obtain a professional career that would guarantee financial security and long- term stability. I want to enjoy a happy, doubt-free life without the thought of constant worrying.”
