Blog #6 Busy, Busy Week

As previously noted in my last blog, I had the week off from my internship about a week and a half ago. Nonetheless, I was able to make up for the loss hours this week. It came as no surprise that as a result, it has been very busy for me during the past few days; which is most likely expected. As a result of that, I had a lot more responsibilities and was given a great number of tasks than usual. Rather than just simply working on the school's athletic database, I participated in other assignments such as helping the secretary to design brochures for spring sporting events, taking phone-calls and delivering messages for various athletic staff members, and I also assisted the athletic director in organizing and storing all the sporting equipments into the storage room: basketballs, baseball bats, tennis balls, uniforms etc. I really enjoyed the fact that I had so much on my plate this week. I got a taste of what it's like working a full day on the job, and the experience of being on your feet for so long.

I have the utmost respect for my supervisor because she is such a hard worker. Now I could see why she is always busy. I have also developed a new skill this week. I call it......*drum roll* “The Art of Multitasking”. Oh Yes! Keeping busy and doing so many things at once is actually rewarding at the end. I feel a great sense of accomplishment. In actual fact, I am considering asking my supervisor if I could take on additional tasks other than what I am currently doing. I really want to get the feel of what it would be like being an extremely busy employee. And I feel like I haven't fully experienced that as yet; only half way there. In addition, as we may have all been aware, next week is Spring Break, and I am also going to ask my supervisor if I could work everyday of that week. I am looking forward to working this week.
