Week Five

This week at my internship was great because I was so busy. I think that I thrive much more by accomplishing many small projects rather than getting longer, more tedious projects. This week I had one on-going project which was to seek out press for the Coats for Kids campaign that we just ended. Since this was our agency’s first time doing the press for this event, we wanted to exceed the amount of press that it got last year for our report. So my job was to go searching for mentions of the campaign so that we had more examples.

I got some other smaller projects this week that involved writing emails, making templates and making phone calls. This all seems like really small stuff but I feel like it is a little nerve wracking to be the one representing us in emails or phone calls, so it is a big accomplishment for me when I feel like I do it well.

Overall this week gave me a lot of confidence. I felt like I did a really great job on everything that was given to me. I feel even better about the relationships I am forming at the office and I think I am getting trusted with more and more responsibility which is a little scary but exactly what I need. I am enjoying the challenges and small successes I am getting.
