Hello, my name is Christina Constantine. I am currently a Junior here at Lesley and am currently working towards majoring in business management with a specialty in not for profits and a minor in global studies. This is my first internship and for the semester I will be interning at Education First or known to most as EF. EF is split into a not for profit and a for profit company but I am interning for the not for profit foundation. They work on bringing students in high school from other countries to the U.S. to study here for either half a year or a whole year in an American high school. They have to work on finding high schools accepting of the program and good host families for the exchange student to live with. Finding families can sometimes be the hardest part since EF Foundation is a not for profit and the families have to host on a volunteer basis and get no type of compensation.
I’m hoping while at my internship I will learn lots of things. I’m excited more to learn what it is truly like in a business environment and setting. I have learned about business for so many years in classes it is exciting to finally be  more active in what I'm learning. I hope to learn more about the structuring of big business and if this type of work setting is one I will enjoy.
My goals for this internship is to be as open minded and diligent at my internship as possible. I want to be able to learn as much as I can while their while still producing excellent work. I hope to take this experience to it’s full advantage and truly learn more about the inner workings of a company and how well I do in these settings.
