Week Four

     This week at my internship was a little more laid back than it has been before. The office was really busy so I was kind of in a position of keeping myself busy. I had previously been given some directions for ongoing projects so that is what I worked on. In an effort to do PR for our own company, I was asked to look up possible speaking opportunities for our CEO, Dennis, so I have been compiling a spread sheet of possibilities for that. Another related project I worked on was finding awards that we could be nominated for as a company. These are both things that I used to keep myself  busy but it is hard to work on this for a while because I feel like I exhausted my search after a couple hours.

     On Friday I did some research for another co-worked that looked at some of our competition and the strength of their websites.

      This week was okay but overall I kind of hoped that I had a little more to do. I still feel like I lack so much knowledge and experience in this field, especially for being in my last year of school. The thought of working at a place like this in the next 6 months seems very daunting and I don’t see myself as at all prepared yet. I hope in the coming weeks I am given more substantial projects so that I can learn more.
