Second Week

This week was a little different to the first week. On Wednesday I was able to take a group of my volleyball players and random friends to take one of the classes they offer at the TR. The class was called 50/50, basically we cycled for 30 minutes straight and then did body-weight exercises (stuff like push-ups, abs, squats, etc.). Some of us couldn't sit comfortably for a day or two, but we found that the more resistance you add the less it hurts your butt in the end.

I also started working on an email that will go out to their clients about their summer outdoor Bootcamp at a nearby park. This is exciting for me because I like working with advertising and think I can help them a lot with giving it a nice design. The email I'm putting together is through a website called www.constantcontact.com, they make it really easy to put together an email that people on their mailing list will actually open.

I was going to go look at potential locations with the co-owners, but there was a little mix-up and scheduling conflict. They are looking to expand because they have a lot of clients and if they take in too many they will have to shorten sessions with older clients and affect them negatively.

This next week I'm going to work on an email for small classes they offer. I look forward to hopefully being given more responsibilities, but I know that I have to put in more hours to get there.

I think the fact that we looked at personality types in the Meyers Brigs test helped me a lot because being able to determine what personalities I'm working with and how I can help mesh my personality as to maximize my effectiveness at my internship. That sentence was way too long.

Thanks.
