My Internship

My name is Trevor Bostic, and I have an internship with Baystate Financial Services. They are a financial advising company working in investments and life insurance policies.

My job is working with orphan client cases. I will identify cases that need new advisers and could possible generate new business.  

My goals would be,
-To learn more about investment options and Financial advising
-To gain crucial experience and networking opportunities to help me in my career
-To establish a reputation as a strong intern

My first Week


My first week went very well. The only set back was not having a computer for the first two days. This basically meant I had to go through the hard copies of client cards and organize them. Luckily that task is completed and I should have a computer for next week.

The work environment is great. the office is relatively new, they recently moved into the John Hancock tower. My co-workers are very friendly and everything is going smoothly. I met the owner of the company in the first week, and made a bit of a fool of myself by asking which department he worked in, but I do not think he held it against me. I am looking forward to going back in on Thursday.
