Tenth Week

This last week focused more on marketing than anything... I covered a pretty large grid of a residential area in Somerville. I walked from mailbox to mailbox, going up a bunch of stairs at every house and dropping off an Outdoor Bootcamp flyer in each mailbox for every apartment in the house or complex. I passed out a whole box, and was surprised that it didn't last very long. I think there are more flyers that I can still pass out, but they go so fast that I don't think we ordered enough...

I'm excited for the Bootcamp and might be able to participate in some of the classes. 6AM... It's going to be killer, but it's healthy I guess. We're still waiting to hear back from a proposal we sent out for a new location. We're asking for a four month build-up period, and the owner might not want to wait that long when he could just rent it out to someone else and make money for all of month we'd be building up.

If he is okay with it, we're going to go over the lease with a lawyer because there are a bunch of things thrown into it that leave us completely liable for anything that goes wrong. After that, if he accepts the new terms, we need to ask for permit from the city and that's the thing that takes four months... So it's a waiting game at this point hoping he agrees to our terms. I'm still setting up interviews for future employees.
