I had the week off from my internship but I do feel that I
spend time doing valuable work for myself. I spent last week working on my
resume and my LinkedIn profile. I also spent a lot of time thinking about what
I might want to do. When I met with Professor Snyder to go over some point on
my resume, we discussed the differences in experiences that I have, as well as
in the options of careers I could go into. There are pros and cons to going
into a large agency as well as into a smaller, more intimate work setting. I
haven’t made any decisions as to which type of company I would like to go into,
but I do feel like I have a clearer way of looking at it.
I am really looking forward to this coming week at my
internship. I honestly miss the people I work with and seeing and helping them
every week. This coming week is very busy because we have the Belle of the Ball
event. It is taking place on Saturday at Simmons College. On Friday, I will go
down to Simmons to help with the set up of the actual event. This will mean
unloading, organizing, and setting up the dresses and booths. I know that this
is going to be a lot of hard work but I think it will be a lot of fun. I am
also planning on learning A TON from this experience. On Saturday, I’ll go to
Simmons again for the actual boutique day. This will be great because I will
see the event happening, which will be a very rewarding experience. I also have
been assigned the job of helping Aidan with media relations, and taking the
celebrities and other volunteers to their respective stations. This is a little
scary but I’m really excited to have this experience to add to my resume.
