The conference call last week went better than I expected. I wasn't sure what to expect, because I have never done something like that before. I do not spend much time with my supervisor so it was nice to get things out on the table. He has noticed that I have a particular writing style (that I have been doing pretty well at). I have also noticed that I should be taking the initiative more when it comes to writing pieces. He has also mentioned that he would like to see me do a news piece. I have been having a difficult time brainstorming ideas for this piece. I think when I go into tomorrow, I am going to ask him what direction I should take this piece.
I did not have a chance to go in yesterday because of another commitment. I am interested to see how the insight we gained from the conference call will play out in the work place. I would like to ask for a little bit more direction so I can better understand what type of story I should write.
